AJ#24: Sh1t happens!

[The video flickers to life as we see August Joyce in a long grey coat with a light blue shirt underneath. A change to the all brown affair he previously wore when he arrived in Peach State last year. A lot has changed in August’s world since then and now he’s in allegiance with MWA Hall of Famer Tim Worthington as they look to take the wrestling world by storm. Joyce is sat on the ring apron of a wrestling ring as he looks into the camera and begins to speak.]

Sometimes shit happens over which you hold no control. Your life gets turned upside down and there’s jack all you can do about it. I know; I’ve been there. You just gotta deal with it; make the best out of a bad situation. You’ll come out stronger for it.

There are other times where shit happens of your own doing. You fuck up, you know you can fix it but your damn pride stands in the way. I know; I’ve been there too. Screw your pride, fix it. Whatever it takes. You’ll be glad you did.

Over the past couple of years I’ve experienced both of these situations. I’ve been kidnapped, brainwashed, used and abused. Forced to attack those I considered friends. And I messed up my marriage, my job and my friendships. But I’ve taken time out, I’ve fixed my mistakes and I’m on my way to a better place.

I owe a lot to Ben Doi for making me realise the error of my ways and helping me to get back on track. I’d like to thank Jody for allowing me the chance to put things straight with him, a chance to walk back into Peach State once more and entertain the great folk of Georgia. After all, it’s what I love to do. I want to thank those fans too, for not turning their back on me when it would have been easy to do so. Thanks for your messages of support, thanks for the welcome back.

Although it’s not just the entertaining that’s important, it’s the achievement of winning a match, of winning a championship. It’s becoming the best, becoming the choice of the people. I strive to become the best, to be a champion. But there’s always been something lacking.

Recently I had the opportunity to meet one of my hero’s. Tim Worthington, former World Champion and Hall of Famer in the Millennium Wrestling Alliance. One of Britain’s finest, Tim has helped me a great deal and has me excited about wrestling again. And at the same time I think I’ve reinvigorated his own career, so much so that he and I made a return to the MWA this week.

While my career with the MWA is on the verge of taking off, hopefully properly this time, I want to make a promise to the fans of Peach State Wrestling. I will still be here. I will not leave this great promotion for the lights and glamour of the MWA, HOW or any other of the supposedly “big time” wrestling companies. I have it written into my contract that I am free to appear for PSW and nothing is going to stop me being here in the great state of Georgia each and every month!

Peach State Wrestling means a lot to me, this place helped pick me up after all I’d been through in the past couple of years and helped me get back to the basics of wrestling. My style has changed, my will is improved. In short, I’m a better wrestler for having been in Peach State. And to say thank you I will be at the one year anniversary show and I will kick the living snot out every member of the Peach State roster!

Irish Battle Royal. I gotta say, never heard of such a match. But it sure sounds interesting. The opportunity to go from nobody to champion in one fell swoop. Entering at number two leads to the possibility of defeating each and every member of the Peach State roster. That’s what it’s going to take for me to win this match. That’s the thing legends are made of.

And what about that Peach State roster? There’s been some changes, that’s for sure. New additions, new attitudes. Notably so in the case of Nick King, the first man I’m going to be up against.

King, you’ve changed since I was last in Fayetteville. And not for the better. You’ve embraced your inner asshole, found the real dick inside you. *pauses* No, not like that! I think it’s about time someone slapped some sense and decency back into you.

You need to be reminded that being a hero isn’t foolish. Doing things for the great fans of Peach State is not a mistake. I would say maybe I can remind you of the man you used to be, the man that lead this promotion, helped it get to this anniversary in the first place. But I see you still remember that man. And you killed that part of you? You say that part was a failure? I say you’re wrong. I say now you’re a failure. It may not be Kid Kaboom making his way into that ring for the Irish Battle Royal. But by the time I’m done with you, with the beating you’re going to get, I’m betting on it being Kid Kaboom that stands up and walks out of the building that night.

And who else do we have. Oh, yes, our resident clown. Mr Krinkle? I honestly don’t know what to say to you, or about you, Krinkle. You’re insane, you’re dangerous. Once you enter this match I know things won’t be the same!

Oh heck, I can’t forget our new Peach State Champion can I! Griffin Hawkins, congratulations on winning that title. Albeit because Tara didn’t want to show up and defend the belt. Jace and Tara took a big metaphorical shit on this place when they walked out for supposedly bigger and better things. But Hawkins stepped up to the plate to represent the promotion. Tough gig. And defending it against the rest of Peach State? Even tougher gig. You up for it Hawkins? Can you handle being the man with the target on your head? If I’m being honest if there’s one man in Peach State who can handle that, it’s Griffin.

Sebastian Montecelli, the man who seems to think he doesn’t belong here, that this place is below him. Dude, you have one of the greatest jobs on planet earth! In this day and age you should be glad just to have a job at all. Quit your moaning, man the fuck up and get on with it. Hell, you may even find yourself enjoying yourself. But you sure as hell aint winning the Peach State Championship!

And what about Brute Svenson? Brute by name, brute by nature. But is he champion material? Who knows. Finn Cambridge, Whirlwind, Blaine Harrison, Matt Reynolds. I don’t know a great deal about you guys, I guess this match will be a learning experience. There are just so many people in this match. Damn it’s going to be fun beating them all!

Hey, I’ve not mentioned Dixie Leigh. Someone I am most familiar with. *Pauses* No, again, not like that! Dixie was one of the first people I got to know in Peach State and it’s great to see her back for the one year anniversary show. One of the most under-rated stars this promotion has played home to, I’m hoping that she’s able to put together a good run in Peach State and show the world what she’s capable of. But, as much as I want her to do well and as much as I’m looking forward to the cookies she says she’s going to bring, I have no qualms in beating her down in order to win this match. In fact I’m hoping it comes down to her and I.

So, in just a matter of days all of the Peach State roster will be in this ring, duking it out to be the PSW Champion. I’ll be the second person to step through those ropes. And I’ll be the last to step back out again, with the PSW Championship wrapped around his waist!
