FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

MWA announces August Joyce departure

Madison, WI, March 26, 2011 –August Joyce has today announced that he has come to an agreement to be released from his contract with the Millennium Wrestling Alliance. Joyce will fight his last MWA match on the April 4 edition of “BattleZone®” (HBO, 9/8C).

MWA spokesperson Zhen Xu made the announcement. “August felt that recent events have made his MWA tenure impossible to continue. After brief discussions we have agreed to release him from his contract effective immediately. August has agreed to see out his remaining responsibilities, namely his match with Ryan Tyler next Monday night.”

August Joyce had been missing, presumed dead, for over 18 months until his surprise return in December 2010. He was implicated in the abduction of MWA referee Mick Monsoon, MWA Director Earls Bickelsbottoms and the attempted abduction of Jeffrey Alexander Starxxxx. But it has since come to light that Joyce was acting under duress and being manipulated having been kidnapped himself in May 2009.

All police charges against Joyce have since been dropped.
